NDS Bleach DS 4th Flame Bringer - New Import, In Stock

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» When Rukia Kuchiki finds a flaming Zanpakutō (Soul cutter Sword), she's summarily possessed by its power. In order to rescue Rukia from her daze, Ichigo ventures forth to find a way to bring her back and release Rukia from the possession. The new Bleach game for the Nintendo DS is a 2D platformer where Ichigo Kurosaki runs from left to right and hacks enemy henchmen with loud thwacks and smacks. The game utilizes both screens of the DS where Ichigo can jump upwards and run on platforms that are located on the top screen to engage a world that scrolls freely both vertically and horizontally. Power-ups, customizations, and special attacks are triggered by using Soul System cards which may be combined for different effects.

NDS Blood of Bahamut - New Import, In Stock

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» Trudge out into the world and battle monstrous creatures who tower above the meager stature of heroes Ibuki and Yui. There's a Shadow of the Colossus vibe when battles take place but since the game's on the modest hardware of the Nintendo DS, there's no real comparison to the PS2 game from yesteryear. Despite the NDS' limitations however, Square Enix does a decent job with the battle system where a tiny hero and his team do their worst against demonic giants, armored dragons, a 4-armed knight, and even an ice princess who attacks who's armed with a broadsword. The multi-player function allows up to four players to join together and attack in concert. Blood of Bahamut is a mission-based game which features over 100 trials to endure and prevail against.

NDS Irodzuki Tingle no Koi no Balloon Trip - New, In Stock

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» For a long time, NCS collectively assumed that Tingle was a bona fide he-man woman hater in the strictest of terms. Like oil and water, Tingle and women simply didn't mix. Or so we thought.
In the new Irodzuki Tingle no Koi no Balloon Trip from Nintendo, Tingle is on a new quest but he's not in the hunt for rupees. No, the green-spandex-wearing jester in the mood for love (with the opposite sex) and we think he's going to find it. With a world of lovely women to choose from, Tingle lays it all on the line and musters up all of his best qualities to find a wife. Some of Tingle's strengths include Manliness, Masculinity, Wealth, Light-footed fleetness, and a fashion sense befitting of kings. With all those attributes propelling him forward, Tingle will undoubtedly find himself a Queen by the time the last chapter rolls around.

NDS Tsukibito - New Import, In Stock

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» Travel to the strange city of Kagura and meet monsters. Not just any run of the mill monsters however. These motley assortment of oddly appointed beasts are called Tsukibito and only some people can see them. Notably, most adults don't have the ability to see the Tsukibito because old folks just aren't hip to the preternatural. Two young heroes including a boy suffering from amnesia enter Kagura and interact with the Tsukibito, solve life's little mysteries, and engage a number of mini-games. One of the mini-games plays similarly to Dance Dance Revolution where arrow cues must be tapped in order to bring the monsters out and about in the burg of Kagura. The game is broken up into 10 chapters, each of which features a different mystery or adversarial drama to overcome.

PS2 Kamen Rider Climax - New Import, In Stock

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» Brightly colored superheroes who wear helmets crafted to look like bugs are known as Kamen Riders in Japan. There's been countless Kamen Rider incarnations through the years and they've mostly drawn design inspirations from the insect kingdom. For example, Kamen Rider Zo is based on a grasshopper while Kamen Rider Agito borrows his look from the stag beetle. Kamen Rider V3 mimics the appearance of a dragonfly and Kamen Rider Chalice takes after a praying mantis complete with antennae. When a whole mess of Riders gather together, they may be mistaken for a collection delusional male cosplayers but that's exactly what you're going to get with Bandai's new fighter titled Kamen Rider: Climax Heroes.
The Riders featured in the game all hail from the Heisei era which began with Kamen Rider Kuuga from 1999 and runs all the way to this year's Kamen Rider Decade which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Heisei lineage. Gamers get to pit heroes such as Kamen Rider Agito against Kamen Rider Ryuki, Kamen Rider Hibiki, Kamen Rider Den-O, Kamen Rider Kiva, and others on a 3D battlefield. A Rider fighter can attack an opponent with conventional punches and kicks but standard four-hit chain combos are also possible. For lengthier combos, Riders can transform into their alter-egos and rattle off 10-hit combination attacks for mega-mighty displays of physical prowess.

The "Multiplayer Mode" allows up to four players to engage each other wirelessly in a PSP battle royale and the "2D Battle Mode" features super-deformed renditions of the characters in a simplified fighting game.

Wii Kororinpa 2 - New Import, In Stock

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» One of the earliest games we recall that featured the control of a rolling ball was Marble Madness from Atari. The MM coin-op featured a trackball controller which had to be spun like the dickens to maneuver the onscreen marble through grid-laced levels. Over the years, ball-control games have been consistent sellers including Super Monkey Ball for the Gamecube and GooBall on the Mac. When the original release of Kororinpa reached the Wii back in 2006, we were in familiar gaming territory with the novelty of a new control scheme via the Wii Remote.

Hudson releases a sequel to Kororinpa this week which features the same Remote control to move the protagonist marble but the Wii Balance Board may also be used instead of the Remote. The Balance Board is likely to add an extra measure of difficulty to the game since it's not as incrementally precise as the remote. Kororinpa 2 features over 200 stages which gradually ramp up in difficulty as earlier levels are conquered. There's an ice stage, a stage with a desert backdrop, a stage that looks like polished woodwork, and many more designs. If that isn't enough, a level editor is also included so players can create their own stages and share them with others via WiiConnect24.

Wii Pop'n Music Wii - New Import,, In Stock

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» The last Pop'n Music game for the Playstation 2 was released two summers ago in 2007. NCS is fairly certain that Pop'n Music 14 Fever was the series' swansong on the PS2 since the console is ancient and software sales have been dwindling for years. It's unclear however if Konami will make the PS3 the console of choice for canonical Bemani releases but until that's sorted out, a new Pop'n Music reaches the Japanese consumer market this week. Not for the Xbox 360 nor the PS3 however. This one's exclusively for the Wii where rhythm-loving gamers will wag the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to hit the onscreen cues. The basic gist of Pop'n Music is pastel-colored Beatmania. Cues rain down the screen and a corresponding button must be slapped when each cue reaches the baseline below.

The Wii rendition of Pop'n Music features a little over 40 songs that are included on the game disc but additional songs may be downloaded for a small fee. That's Konami's way of milking the Bemani faithful just a little bit more after the initial sale. An assemblage of familiar characters and a four-player mode dubbed "Score March" allows party people to play the game together like a musical gang.

TOY Vampire Savior Kinu Nishimura Collection Morrigan - New

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» The Kinu Nishimura version of Mai Shiranui which was released a couple of years ago was one of NCS' best selling toys in recent memory. Two productions were required in Japan to meet demand and most shops have since sold out. Mai looked natural, somewhat attractive, and Asian- based counterfeiters saw fit to clone the toy as they're apt to do with products that are in high demand.

Max Factory releases another Kinu Nishimura figure and this time, it's Morrigan of Vampire Savior fame who gets love. Sculptor Takeshi Hamasaki was hired to do the job but Morrigan looks somewhat off. The figure's proportions are fine but her pose is odd. We once saw a lumberjack pose like that after eating 12 flapjacks and an equal serving of sausage links. Morrigan's face is also suspect since her lips appear to have been injected with collagen. Everything else on Morrigan looks okay including her bat wings and shabby-chic green hair which drapes downwards like a mess of limp hand-pulled noodles. Pricing is set at JPY12,800 or US$135.90 from NCS and all preorders are shipping this afternoon.

TOY Nendoroid Sebastian Michaelis - New Import, In Stock

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» The Kuroshitsuji manga serial follows the adventures and misadventures of a young lord named Ciel Phantomhive and his dark butler Sebastian Michaelis. The advantage of having someone like Sebastian around the estate lies in his innate skills and abilities which in turn stem from Sebastian's inner demon. As in, Sebastian's an actual demon.
NCS stocked an Nintendo DS game last week which featured a new storyline starring the duo and Good Smile Company has started reservations for a Michaelis Nendoroid figure. The likeness to the dark butler is rather good despite the overly large Nendoroid head atop the slim body. The figure ships with a standard face but two other faces with different expressions are included in the package. The figure measures 10cm or 3.93" tall and is constructed of a PVC and ABS mix.
