PSP Busou Shinki: Battle Masters - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» Konami's Battle Rondo MMORPG is a game universe designed to engender interest in a line of toys dubbed "Busou Shinki" which Konami peddles in Japan. One could call the MMORPG an elaborate gimmick that creates buzz, generates toy sales, and imparts depth to the toy figures with somewhat interesting background stories. Sorta like what the Transformers cartoons did for the Transformers toys.

In the Battle Rondo game, players enter a code that's included with a Busou Shinki toy which creates a female robot who fights other female robots in turn-based arena combat. The robots can be upgraded with performance enhancing parts, weapons, and
armor to bump up their offensive and defensive capabilities against opponents.

The upcoming Busou Shinki: Battle Masters for the PSP is an offshoot of the Battle Rondo universe but instead of turn-based tactical interplay, Battle Masters is a 3D action game which is fraught with lengthy interactive conversation sequences. Previews of the game evince lazy references to the PSP Gundam games with melee attacks, blazing projectile launches, jumping, jetting, and a versatile camera which takes in all of the action. Matches are punctuated by the yelping of young girls who squeak and utter assorted sayings while engaging in battle. Depending on your tolerance level for the snippy sounds of female "yelping," the PSP volume button might see some heavy action. Preorders are welcome to ship on July 15, 2010 at JPY5800 or US$60.90 from NCS.

PSP Zikande Fantasia - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» Step into the shoes of a hero named Kotaro or a heroine named Canna who has been summoned into a world in need of their help. In the land of Zikande, the denizens are not bound by the strictures of time and they do as they please without minding the minutes. However, one day the oppression of time drops on Zikande and everyone falls under its unyielding influence. Due to the sudden appearance of time, the people of Zikande are now literally restricted and they call for a hero from elsewhere to help in their hour of need.

Zikande Fantasia
is being developed by the crew that brought Yuusha 30 to the world in 2009 and the game plays in bite-sized increments. The developer touts the ability to set your time limit for playing the game along with other parameters such as enemy boss HP, treasure chest volume, and more - for example, if your daily commute is about 10 minutes, you can set the time parameter for the game to 10 minutes and expect to conclude the adventure within that frame. Similar to Yuusha 30, the game takes place on a 2D world built with graphics that hearken back to the days of 8-bit consoles. The controls are simple and the questing won't tax the mental prowess of most gamers. Preorders are welcome to ship on July 8, 2010 and all reservations will ship with a bonus portable cleaner strap.

TOYS Deus Machina Demon Bane Al-Azif Figure - Import Preorder

NCS Preorder Synopsis
«©NCSX» Japanese manufacturer "Beat" has started solicitations for a 1/7 scale Deus Machina Demon Bane Al-Azif figure which measures 19cm (7.48") tall from the bottom of her slip-on shoes to the top of her over-the-head fingers. Al-Azif is the embodiment of the Necronomicon, a tome authored by an Mad Arab named Abdul Alhazred as imagined by one H.P. Lovecraft.

Al is in a stunted pose where her knees are seemingly wobbly and her arms are hefted towards the heavens. She could be initiating a funky chicken-ish dance or perhaps the sculptor caught her at the tail-end of a jumping-jack move. Whatever the motivation, Azif nevertheless looks fetching with her stringy violet tresses and big green eyes. Preorders are welcome to ship in August 2010 at JPY8400 or US$89.90 from NCS.
